Mohamed Al Fatih is a Director of Photography based in the UAE.

He came to filmmaking through still photography, and the habit stayed with him: watching faces, watching light move, waiting for the moment a frame turns into a story. He picked up the craft on set — seven years of showing up, observing, and shooting — and now works across commercials, short films, and narrative projects throughout the region.

He starts with the script. Before a single setup is discussed, he wants to understand who these people are and what they want, whether it’s a feature or a thirty-second spot. He treats every job like a film, because that’s the only way he knows how to make an image mean something.

He shoots on whatever the project asks for — ARRI Alexa 35, Alexa Mini LF, Sony VENICE and VENICE 2, and film when the story calls for it: Arriflex 416, Bolex 16mm. Digital or analog, the question is the same one: what does this story need to look like?
